Our Trip to the Big Apple (New York City)
June 2002

Day 4 - continued

More photos of our Schooner Adirondack Trip...

I think Pat likes the water...

and I think he is trying to show the Captain how to steer too!

What a beautiful memory for us both...

This is the site of the World Trade Center from the ship. If you look closely on the left photo, you can see the American Flag on the building just to the right of where the WTC was..

Now, this is the tallest building in New York City...

In the left photo, the funny looking octagonal building is the Holocaust Museum. The right photo shows you the lower NYC skyline as it is now.. Sad, isn't it?

This is the Marine Aviation Center, with the Empire State Building to the left. The Marine center is now closed because it is such a toxic hazard.

The sun was beginning to set, and to our left you see Lady Liberty, and to the right, Ellis Island.

Our day was ending, but not our memories of a wonderful adventure..

Onward to later that night and our last day in NYC!
